Thank you to everyone who joined us for this year’s Apple Tasting Day! Our popular free event was a fantastic opportunity for fruit enthusiasts to taste a wide range of both old and new apple and pear varieties, including traditional favorites like Cox’s Orange Pippin and Norfolk Royal Russet, alongside exciting new varieties such as Opal and Rubens.

Visitors enjoyed expert advice from apple specialists who helped identify mystery apples, along with the chance to purchase fruit trees and plants from our nursery. The event also featured a rural craft fair, community fete, local produce stalls, horse and cart rides, cakes and teas, a climbing wall, Morris dancing, and, of course, cider!

Entry was free and we were pleased to welcome well-behaved dogs on leads (except inside craft barns and the food hall).

Next years Apple Tasting Day will be our 54th and will take place on the second Sunday in October as it does every year.

Mark your diaries now… Sunday 12th October 2025 10am – 4.30pm
