We were thrilled to welcome thousands of visitors to Blackmoor Estate on Sunday for the 54th annual Apple Tasting Day — a much-anticipated celebration of apples, autumn, and community.
This year’s event once again brought together families, food & craft lovers and, of course, apple enthusiasts from across the region for a truly memorable day out. With the weather on our side, the estate was filled with activity, colour, and the unmistakable scent of freshly picked apples.
At the heart of the day was everything apple-related:
Apple tasting from a wide variety of traditional and heritage varieties
Apple identification with our expert team helping visitors name mystery apples from their gardens
Fresh Apple and Pear Sales with plenty of opportunity to take home your favourites
Cider & Juice Bar Blackmoor Orchards enjoyed on site and then purchased to take home
Visitors enjoyed a bustling craft fair, a tempting selection of food and drink stalls, lively Morris dancing, and a fun- filled children’s area — making it a true family day out
As always, the event was held in support of local charities, continuing our longstanding tradition of giving back to the community.
We’re so grateful to everyone who came along, supported the event, and helped create such a fantastic atmosphere across the Estate. Apple Tasting Day is a special tradition for us at Blackmoor, and it’s made even more meaningful by the community who return year after year to celebrate it with us.
Next years Apple Tasting Day will be our 55th and will take place on the second Sunday in October as it does every year.
