Cherry Season is a much anticipated time here at Blackmoor! The harvest has runs for just over six glorious weeks, with our new late-season orchard taking us all the way through to mid-August. It’s a true celebration of flavour, colour, and the best of the British summer.
We’re proud to grow a wonderful range of cherries – all juicy, sweet, dark, and absolutely bursting with sunshine. This year’s varieties have included the rich and flavourful Vanda, the ever-popular Lapin, the luscious Korida, and the bright red Penny, which brought a vibrant splash of colour to the orchards mid-season. Each and every cherry was hand-picked fresh from our trees, ensuring that you enjoyed them at their very best.
Come down to our NEW SHOP for fresh cherries (prices here). Our farm shop is brimming with delicious cherry-based products, all made right here at Blackmoor, so you can keep that summer flavour:
- Cherry Juice – simply cherry juice, 100% pasteurised juice from our delicious cherries.
- Cherry Cider – a refreshing twist on our traditional Ridges Green.
- Cherry Jam – perfect for spreading on toast, fresh bread, or warm scones.
- Cherry Chutney – a tasty, tangy companion for cheeseboards and summer dining.
- Gospel Green Cherry Cider – a sparkling, traditional method cider with a delicate sweet cherry finish.
And it’s not just cherries: you’ll also find our Blackmoor Apple Juice, Pear Juice, Cider, and Perry – all made from fruit grown right here in our orchards, pressed and bottled to capture the freshest, most natural flavours possible.
Opening hours in cherry season are 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Saturday & 10.00am – 4.00pm Sundays
